I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
